Autobiography
My name is Chen Shin－Yi, friends call me Ruby. Born in a liberal family, I am introverted、thoughtful and open－minded. Besides, my parents instill the importance of honesty and persistence into me. Therefore, if I am confronted with difficult, I will still do my best to achieve my original goals. Besides, I put great emphasis on prudence, because I consider it important if I want to succeed in the future. In addition, being the only daughter in my family, I have developed a strong and independent personality, and learned to cherish all the things around me.
Being a student, studying hard is always my priority. However, I also do some reading at my leisure. It can not only relieve my stress but also calm down my emotion. In my spare time, I also enjoy listening to music and writing composition. Besides, among the subjects I have learned during the past three years, English is always my favorite. I used to participate in the contest of English speech, English vocabulary, English drama and English drama script, etc. As to certificates, I have gotten the certificates of GEPT at Elementary level and GEAA at level 3 and 4.
My interest in English can be traced back to my childhood. When I w as in grade 4th, I was punished by homeroom teacher without any reason. After that, my soul was injured. Therefore, my mom made me transfer to another school. Gradually, I turned over a new leaf. At the same time, I began to approach English courses. Moreover, listening to English songs become my favorite thing to do during the spare time.
In order to improve my English ability, I plan a series of program for myself. For example, after school, I listen to ICRT or read English magazines to enhance listening and reading skills. So far, English has inevitably become the most indispensable part in my daily life. Moreover, I also made the most of my leisure time to participate in various activities and competitions, such as Youngster Leadership Camp, drama and speech contests and honorably won some prizes. I know that attending university will be a turning point in my life. I have devoted myself to studying and hope to sharpen up my abilities at your reputable school, I hope you may grant me the opportunity to attend your honorable department. I’m sure TAMKANG UNIVERSITY is definitely my best choice.
